Data Source Initialization OLE DB Property — «Extended Properties»

Name:
Extended Properties
Type:
VT_BSTR
R/W:
R/W
Default:
EMPTY
IBProvider:
1, 2, 3, 5

Property for defining initialization parameters as a connection string.

For example, «location=localhost:d:\database\employee.gdb; user id=SYSDBA;password=masterkey».

The values of the properties defined by the «Extended Properties» have priority over the values of the properties defined by the DBPROP structures.

Please note that, starting with fifth version, the provider unpacks and checks the value of «Extended Properties» at the time of installation, and not at the time of use. In IBProvider v5 in «Extended Properties» will stay only unknown initialization properties.

When creating a database, through «Extended Properties» you may define the property values from the «OLE DB data source properties to create a database» group.

Starting from IBProvider v5, when creating a database, you may also define the values of the OLE DB session properties through the «Extended Properties».
